With HifiZoom, the more you zoom on your iPad, the more image detail you get.
Colorado Springs, CO (PRWEB) May 13, 2013
HifiPix, Inc. today announced HifiZoom, a webserver and mobile device application that delivers progressively higher definition images as users pinch zoom up a website to make it larger. “Right now when you zoom up an image on your iPad the graphics and text get clearer but the images just get bigger and blurrier,” said Shawn Kelly, CEO of HifiPix. “HifiZoom senses when you’re zooming up and goes and gets higher definition to “add” to the image already on your display. The more you zoom, the more detail you get. But it only gets that extra detail when you want it so you’re never downloading unless you ask for it.”
HifiZoom requires high definition images and a free software application on the website server to provide the extra definition users request through zooming. “We believe on-demand, high definition images are the ideal way for websites to engage people,” continued Kelly. “Wired Magazine recently ran an article about how “visual shopping” is the future of ecommerce.* Zooming up is how people check out a website image that grabs them. Now people can zoom up to thirty or more times the original website image definition. And it's only natural that clear images sell better than blurry ones.”
The HifiZoom “progressive definition” technology is supported by several pending US and international patents. Server and mobile device apps are currently in development based on a demonstrated software platform. The HifiZoom Lite app will be released free of charge and will provide up to ten times the image definition when zooming up. HifiZoom Pro, for $4.95, will provide thirty to fifty times the image definition when zooming up.
