There are many people out there who would like a bike but can't afford it, and here is the perfect solution...

On May 13, city bike designer, Linus Bike, commends New Zealand cycling advocacy group, “Bicycle Nelson Bays,” for creating a bicycle share program that will loan bicycles out to those who cannot afford one.
According to an article on stuff.co.nz, the cycling advocacy group Bicycles Nelson Bays (BNB)’s spokesperson John-Paul Pochin says the program was created in order to loan bicycles out those who couldn’t necessarily afford one. The first donated bike was loaned out to 49-year-old Graham Bloomfield. Although he hasn’t biked in 15 years, Bloomfield plans on using his new bike for fitness and getting around.
Mr. Pochin said in the article that they already had a few other bikes donated and hoped to help others back into cycling. "We are trying to get people fit and active and do some exercise."
He went on to say: "If there are bikes out there which are clearly not being used and if we can get them back into circulation and see them on the roads, I think that would be great."
The bikes will be loaned with the idea that they will be given back once the recipient is able to afford their own. They will then be re-loaned to someone else.
Another reason Pochin decided to get this program going was because there were a few cycling project initiatives that were beginning in the area.
Jason Latty, a representative from Linus Bike, a city bike designer, thinks this program is a great idea. "Bicycle Nelson Bays' bike lending program is a great initiative that other communities should follow. There are many people out there who would like a bike but can't afford it, and here is the perfect solution. It will be great to see people getting use out of these bikes and benefitting from cycling."
