Terry Jones says the future of business will depend upon companies’ ability to innovate

In his new book, “On Innovation,” founder and Chairman, Terry Jones says the future of business is certain in at least one regard.

“Every business needs to innovate, but few know where to start; this book gives leaders 72 simple but powerful ideas for creating a more innovative organization,” says Jones, a holder of several patents and a veteran business executive.

The book, a light-hearted but practical guide for fostering innovation, outlines the future of business, drawing from his experience as founder and CEO at and from 10 other startups where he’s worked. Two- to three-page illustrated “idea” chapters expand on what’s needed, why, and how to do it.

The short chapters are perfectly tailored for today’s time-crunched business leaders, who are advised in “How To Read This Book” to open to a random chapter when they’re facing a challenge and draw inspiration from wherever they land.

About Terry Jones

Terry Jones founded in 1996 and led the company as president and CEO until May 2002. He is managing principal of On, Inc, a consultancy he cofounded to help companies in their transition to the digital economy, and serves as chairman of the board at, which he also helped found. Previously, Jones had a 24-year career at American Airlines holding various executive positions, rising to Chief Information Officer of its SABRE Division. Jones holds several patents, has served on the boards of directors of 10 companies and began his career as a travel agent in Chicago. He holds a degree in history from Denison University.
