Mary Beth and David Day, owners of Asheville’s Fun Depot have been busy preparing for the opening of the newest offerings of the family fun center. Mary Beth in particular has been hands-on with priming, painting, staining and seeing the overall vision of the themes set up in the new feature.

According to David Day, “Mary Beth has given her all on getting these latest features ready and she’s done it with a smile. There’s no doubt that all of her hard work will pay off once these features open and the public can experience Kid’s Adventure Express and Tot’s Turtle Lagoon.”

Tot’s Turtle Lagoon will be an enclosed area safe for toddlers three years and younger. A seaweed forest will run between the feature, as well as mini-slides and tunnels. “The ocean coral reef theme will bring excitement to the eyes of little ones crawling under octopus tentacles or standing beneath a sea turtle swimming in the ocean,” said Asheville’s Fun Depot Marketing Manager Christine Maloney.

Adventure Express will also be an enclosed are where kids can easily play, while parents can sit by and relax. The Adventure Express will offer two themes--the ocean coral reef theme, as well as a rain forest theme. The feature will include two large inflatables and two large soft play areas that kids will be able to slide down a “water” slide or cross an alligator pit. The Adventure Express feature is intended for children 50” tall or less.
