Recently the job board giant, Career Builder, released its Q2 2013 Hiring Forecast. The report, based on a national survey conducted by Harris Interactive©, revealed hiring outlook in the market and found that 26% of companies are adding new employees. The sentiment is echoed at Storm Copper Components, Co., which today announced that it has expanded capabilities, and as a result is seeking to hire a number of new employees.

Earlier this year, the company announced its new plating capability, electroless nickel-plating (ENP). Storm Copper’s Medium Phosphorus Electroless Nickel Plating is a chemical plating process in which nickel is deposited to the surface of metal without the use of electrical energy. “Our bulk plating process allows customers to benefit from additional flexibility for their plating needs, is perfect for prototype parts, and offers efficiencies”, said Carol Howard, president & chief operating officer of Storm Copper.

In addition, the Tennessee based manufacturer has added new equipment and technology to produce molecularly fused laminate ends. The equipment additions open up production capacity, beefs up shift staffing, and strengthens the portfolio of manufacturing processes that can be produced “under one roof”.

“Vital to our talent acquisition strategy is hiring reliable people who flourish in collaborative team environments. That’s one reason why military service is highly honored at Storm. We actively seek former members of the military due to their advance training and teamwork focused experience. We have a number of former combat duty professionals on staff, some in very senior level roles”, concluded Howard.

“It’s our people, Team Storm, that allow us to deliver our company’s promise of ‘Every order. Every time.”, said Vince Schreiber, chief executive officer at Storm Copper. Equipment and infrastructure upgrades backed by talent investments are especially important now when the economy continues to have substantial underutilized resources, including those seeking employment, veterans returning home, and students needing valuable experience through internships” continued Schreiber.
