Clients are demanding that law firms demonstrate work management skills that will increase productivity and reduce costs.
(PRWEB) May 13, 2013
The Legal Project Management Institute, in conjunction with LawVision Group, announced today the launch of its Advanced Legal Project Management Certificate Program. This higher level certification will enable legal professionals to meet their clients’ project management skills requirements and facilitate their ability to differentiate their firms based on efficient and cost-effective management of legal matters.
"Clients are demanding that law firms demonstrate work management skills that will increase productivity and reduce costs. Recent RFPs have required firms to commit to the provision of highly trained project managers to coordinate matter work flows," states nationally recognized law practice and project management consultant Susan Raridon Lambreth, founder of the Legal Project Management Institute and lead developer of the programs. "In response, law firms are moving from talking about LPM to implementing its principles into their practices.”
LawVision launched the first online legal project management certification program, LPM LaunchPadTM, in June 2012. This two-course program focuses on the fundamentals of legal project management and is available through West LegalEdcenter. The courses are highly interactive and enable legal professionals to achieve clear and measurable productivity and efficiency improvements in their work, enhancing their ability to budget, predict and manage legal fees and costs.
Developed in conjunction with the Legal Project Management Institute, the Advanced Certificate in Legal Project Management program requires completion of the online coursework or a live training program, as well as coaching by a LPM CoachTM who has experience helping lawyers implement LPM. This additional level of certification ensures that legal professionals will be highly competent in applying LPM principles and processes to their client work.
The Legal Project Management Institute was founded as a collaborative effort to provide and share training and knowledge resources and materials to accelerate the adoption and application of project management principles to legal work. For more information, go to lpminstitute.net.
