Consequently, we choose how to respond to what life puts in our paths and our choices lead to either a blessing or a curse.

Life is not always as it seems: blessings can turn into curses, and curses can reveal themselves to be blessings.
Lawrence Perry is a retired minister who served in the Air Force during Vietnam, worked for 10 years in law enforcement and opened a startup business in life coaching. His varied professional background, coupled with his daughter’s unfortunate diagnosis of schizophrenia, led Perry to contemplate the interplay of blessings and curses in daily life in his new spiritual guide, “Walking Through the Weeds.”
“As a minister, I felt betrayed by God and I questioned why my beautiful, talented daughter was cursed,” Perry says. “Or was she strangely blessed? I quietly began to search and wait for the answer.”
Applying Scripture in a practical way that explains the role of paradox in daily life, “Walking Through the Weeds” sheds light on the ways God’s blessings shine through during difficult life transitions. Based on his personal experiences and insights on faith, Perry helps readers understand how to find a new sense of purpose and joy in life.
“Walking Through the Weeds” explores how to live in the world of paradox, the role that choices and habits play in blessings and curses, and how to discover God’s voice. Through the book, Perry has one ultimate goal: that readers will understand the amazing gifts of God’s blessings in their lives and how to access those blessings.
“Consequently, we choose how to respond to what life puts in our paths and our choices lead to either a blessing or a curse,” Perry says. “When we choose the latter, we condemn ourselves; when we seek His will, we discover the abundance of grace and blessing.”
