The transfer of NetBack accounts is now final.

NCCSI and NetBack had been in discussions regarding a merger but felt an acquisition by NCCSI would better suit the situation. NCCSI has been in business since 1967 while NetBack was still new at only three years old. Additionally, both owners had worked together previously under Recovercorp and at times in direct competition with each other.

The transition, which started in February, was made easier because both NCCSI and NetBack used the same collection software. On the client’s end the transfer was seamless. However, behind the scenes it took a great deal of work to merge the accounts and revise all Credit Bureau data to reflect the new account owner, NCCSI.

The acquisition nearly doubled NCCSI’s clientele as both companies were similar in size. NCCSI was already expanding throughout Ontario, concentrating mainly in southeastern Ontario, and acquiring NetBack fit into this acquisition model. Both companies handle small- to medium-size businesses, with an emphasis on the service industry.

NetBack ceased operations on January 31. All former NetBack clients will keep their current rates for a one year period from February 1, 2013.
