THINK Together’s Riverside Region General Manager Adriana Kingston has been named Administrator of the Year by Region XIX of the Association of California School Administrators.
Kingston oversees nearly 60 THINK Together sites in Riverside and northeast San Diego counties. Those sites serve about 12,000 students per day. She was nominated for the award by Marybeth Slane, the Lake Elsinore Unified School District’s Director of Curriculum and Instruction. Lake Elsinore Unified School District is a THINK Together partner. The award was in the ACSA’s Partners in Education Award category.
“I want to express my sincere gratitude to the Association of California School Administrators for presenting me with this award,” Kingston said. “While I am flattered to be recognized like this, I also must share the credit with our partners in the Lake Elsinore Unified School District and my incredible staff, who work so hard every day on behalf of our students. This award is a testament to everyone’s shared commitment to close the achievement gap and help our students reach their full potential.”
Kingston was presented her award at the ACSA Region XIX Spring Celebration on May 1 at the Palm Springs Hilton Hotel.
THINK Together’s Founder and CEO Randy Barth congratulated Kingston for this honor. “Our partnership with school districts is a critical part of THINK Together’s ability to provide extended learning time programs afterschool,” Barth said. “This recognition of Adriana is a testament to how our school district partners value the relationships we have established. It is through these partnerships that together we are able to improve education for our children and change the destinies of entire families.”
