It appears members had one city they found sexier than all the others: The City of Angels, Los Angeles.

No doubt some cities are sexier than others, but what constitutes sexy? Is it white sand beaches, glittering skyscrapers, incredible green scenery, snowflakes or sunshine? It appears members had one city they found sexier than all the others: The City of Angels, Los Angeles. Out of 3,000 participants 27% of the women and 23% of the men voted for L.A. Maybe it’s thanks to Hollywood’s glamorous influence (never mind the scandals) the fancy nightclubs, or Malibu beach? Whatever it is, L.A. holds its allure. New York City ended up a close second and Miami came in third.

When it came to picking your favorite vacation city, L.A. once again topped the list closely followed by New York. This was reversed when asked which city you would most likely find a holiday romance, where New York topped the charts closely followed by L.A. It appears a big city romance (as opposed to small city romance in, say, Hawaii) is what people are looking for these days, maybe thanks to such popular TV shows as Sex and the City and Entourage? Both movies and TV shows are more likely to be set in L.A. or New York than any other city. Runner up cities such as Phoenix, Chicago, San Francisco and Jacksonville appear to have a lot less sex appeal according to our survey.

When asked to look at their past to determine where they had had the most luck with vacation flings the majority said it was in a city not listed. Out of the listed cities L.A. came first, followed by New York, Phoenix, Chicago and Jacksonville.

It appears 27% of both men and women have had a holiday romance in the past and 35% of the men and 27% of the women consider it “quite likely” they will have a holiday romance when on vacation. On the other hand, 28% of the women and 27% of the men do not consider it likely they will have a holiday romance. 18% of the women and 11% of the men say they are no longer looking for “whirlwind romances,” but rather something more stable and long lasting, hence avoiding holiday romance altogether.
