(PRWEB UK) 16 May 2013
Furry Tails day at Hoo Farm on May 27th will feature lots of fun activities including shearing and spinning, meet the 3 little pigs, help collect the Golden Eggs and the Story Book Animal Handling sessions.
Visitors are encouraged to come dressed as their favourite fairy tale character and enter the fancy dress competition after the Sheep Racing when Little Bo Peep will judge the winner. Entries can be made on the day prior to 3pm and the lucky winner will receive a Family Ticket worth £38.
Other activities during the day include visitors being able to experience the craft of felting whilst the shearers and spinners are onsite demonstrating what happens to a fleece once a sheep has been sheared. Children will also enjoy the opportunity to pan for gold at the Hoollee mine, create a decorative sand art ornament and also design their own coat of arms and flags.
The farm trail boasts over 120 different species of animals including the Great Escape Porcupine Baby who is now reunited with her family and located in a very secure “Porcupine enclosure”.
The indoor and out door play zones are available for picnics whilst the tea room and snack stop provide a variety of hot and cold snacks.
