The MetroHartford Alliance, the Region’s economic development leader and the City’s Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with Hartford Business Journal, will recognize the Region’s most innovative and successful privately held companies at the Business Champions Awards Breakfast, which will take place on June 6th from 7:00a.m.-9:00a.m. at the Connecticut Convention Center in Hartford.
The Alliance received a record-setting 66 Business Champions nominations this year, including 13 start-ups, 15 businesses reporting year-over-year revenue growth of 30 percent or more and 23 businesses with 2012 gross revenue over $5 million.
“This year’s Business Champions nominees demonstrate the strength of privately held business in the Region, one of the most important sectors for job retention and growth,” Oz Griebel, President & CEO, MetroHartford Alliance, said.
The Business Champions Awards celebrate and recognize the achievements of privately held businesses located in one of the 61 towns of Greater Hartford. Winners will be chosen in the categories of Revenue, Workforce Practices, Sustainability, Innovation and Best New Start-Up. The winners will be announced at the Awards Breakfast, which annually attracts several hundred business leaders and owners from throughout the Region.
