Tameran Graphic Systems, Inc. announces four new solutions for high resolution scanning of low volume aperture card collections: QuickScan ACS, QuickScan On Site, QuickScan On Demand and QuickScan Now. QuickScan ACS is a portable aperture card scanner featuring the highest quality imaging. QuickScan On Site, QuickScan On Demand and QuickScan Now are three additional aperture card scanning options developed to best meet a wide range of requirements for retrieving high quality images from legacy aperture card libraries.

QuickScan ACS is the most affordable aperture card scanner available and provides higher quality digital images than universal library scanners. With true 52 megapixel imaging, QuickScan has 2 to 4 times the resolution of other similar microfilm scanners and produces a precise, legible bi-tonal or gray scale image which is of particular importance for deciphering numbers and letters on engineering drawings, architectural renderings and historical legal documents. The Tameran QuickScan ACS produces the highest quality fully-readable images possible.

Tameran’s new QuickScan ACS is specifically designed for quickly scanning or printing images from aperture cards in under 10 seconds. The user simply inserts the card into an auto-feed slot and the image is captured to view and print. Other reference microfilm scanners require several minutes for the user to take multiple time-consuming steps to set up, find the image and then perform a myriad of adjustments to obtain a low resolution image from an aperture card.

QuickScan On Site is a scanner rental program for organizations with low volumes of aperture cards that can not be scanned offsite. Tameran also offers two off-site outsource programs including QuickScan On Demand and QuickScan Now. QuickScan On Demand is a same-day service with an annual subscription and annual scan allowance, and QuickScan Now is a flexible scan service provided on an as-needed basis with a three-day turnaround.

“With four solutions for scanning smaller volumes of legacy aperture cards, Tameran is able to provide economical options to fit the conversion requirements of organizations that don’t need to convert entire libraries of aperture cards yet who sporadically require a digital version of several to hundreds of cards,” said Mark Wise, President of Tameran Graphic Systems, Inc. “Our history is in microfilm. Whether it is microfilm creation or conversion, we pride ourselves in creatively trying to meet the needs of organizations that have historical information stored on microfilm.”

Tameran Graphic Systems, Inc., headquartered in Solon, Ohio, has manufactured and supplied document distribution and preservation solutions for more than 38 years.
