At the recent annual TIA Convention, Registry Monitoring Insurance Services showcased its latest innovation for the Trucking Industry: CRS Plus, a state-of-the-art, fully customized carrier onboarding service, coupled with an industry-leading carrier insurance and safety monitoring program that enables brokers to onboard their carriers 80% faster.

Registry Monitoring Insurance Services, one of the transportation industry’s leading insurance monitoring companies, displayed its cutting-edge product, CRS Plus, during the 2013 TIA Convention and Trade Show in Las Vegas.

Designed to fully automate the carrier onboarding process, CRS Plus streamlines all necessary paperwork that must be completed by a carrier prior to shipment. For the majority of brokers and 3PL’s, the paper pushing required to put a new carrier into service can take hours, sometimes days. CRS Plus can accomplish this cumbersome process within minutes, speeding up the time it takes to onboard a carrier by an average of 80%. This translates into faster freight movement for brokers, freight forwarders, 3PL's and shippers.

The online registration process is completely customized to include a company’s specific business rules, including contract language with electronic signature and carrier profile information. The service includes an electronic W-9 capture, which is authenticated with the IRS database. CRS Plus also verifies insurance coverage and limits and provides all pertinent DOT information. A fully staffed customer service department is available to handle any carriers who may require registration assistance.

Once registered through CRS Plus and attached to the RMIS database, a carrier’s insurance coverage and all safety ratings are continuously monitored. RMIS maintains up-to-the-minute information on carriers operating in the United States, providing an extra layer of protection to its client base.

Not only does CRS Plus drastically reduce paperwork processing time, it also provides an important layer of defense against negligent selection. The courts have proven time and again that all parties involved in the transportation of goods can be liable in any type of accident. CRS Plus provides an extra step in the screening process of all potential carriers, and it provides an ongoing stream of information with regard to safety and insurability concerns for existing carriers.

Long-time client, Access America Transport, has some positive comments regarding CRS Plus: “The CRS Plus product has been a critical resource in assuring our carrier vetting processes continue to be airtight,” says Amber Miller, Director of Carrier Development. http://www.accessamericatransport.com

New client, NFI Industries, speaks highly of their experience thus far with RMIS: “RMIS is providing us with the ability to quickly and efficiently expand our carrier capacity while protecting ourselves in a constantly evolving regulatory world,” says David Broering, Senior Vice President, Brokerage. http://www.nfiindustries.com

“We are excited with the operational efficiency that CRS Plus provides to our clients, combining state-of-the-art technology with our industry-leading insurance monitoring services,” said RMIS President, Hayden Landon.
