New York, NY (PRWEB) May 14, 2013
Back in 2004 at the first practice of Giants rookie camp, Eli Manning was not looking too sharp. 2013 rookie Ryan Nassib out of Syracuse, however, did a great job on his first day at camp. He mastered all of the terminology and understood what the coaches wanted him to do. He came out looking confident and had very few errors in his first few days of drills. Nassib said that he had good experience learning the playbook fast in the Senior Bowl, and that he has brought that experience with him to camp. While all of the rookies are under close watch in training camp, Nassib was under special scrutiny. The rookie quarterback was projected to be a top ten pick in the first round this year, but ended up with the Giants in the fourth round. Nonetheless, he has made a great impression and has made it known that he is here to play, work hard, and earn his place on this team. http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/football/giants/giants-insider-ryan-passes-early-test-article-1.1341620
Another highly watched player in Giants camp is Jonathan Hankins, a defensive tackle from Ohio State who was taken by the Giants as the 49th pick overall in the second round. Hankins is adjusting well to life as a New York Giant. On the first day he was nervous and over-thinking drills, but as the days went on he had begun to relax. The Giants had ranked him as a first round talent, and are looking to this rookie to make some big defensive plays for the team in 2013. http://www.rantsports.com/nfl/2013/05/14/ryan-nassib-johnathan-hankins-perform-well-in-rookie-camp/
