Larry Morken, Director of Sales & Marketing-RSA commented, “Leveraging HP’s ePrint & Share technology has given us increased functionality and improved efficiency project teams are demanding today.”
Westminster, Colorado (PRWEB) May 20, 2013
The Reprographic Services Association (RSA) is pleased to announce their new PlotSupport application, a new embedded solution that provides enhanced customer convenience. RSA, with the support of HP, is now giving users the capability to make either a “Supplies” or “Service” request from the HP Designjet ePrinters at the simple touch of a button. This request goes directly to the RSA member supporting the HP Designjet ePrinter installation. This new feature provides added convenience and time savings for the user because the new feature means that customers are no longer forced to leave the printer to look up the detail of their supplies and service provider.
“Having HP support us on the new RSA PlotSupport application has opened the door to RSA offering increased convenience for our customers and improved efficiency and enhanced customer loyalty for our members,” commented Larry Morken, Director Sales & Marketing for RSA.
As well as improving customer convenience with the new application, RSA is will now be fully utilizing HP’s productivity tools to manage the flow of project information and large format documents throughout an entire project lifecycle.
Document management today requires that vital data be available in real-time collaborative environments for immediate use by project teams. At the simple touch of a button from the workstation, drawings stored on RSA member PlanCommand sites and cloud based environments can be printed to the HP Designjet T790 and T1300 ePrinters together with the HP Designjet T2300 eMFP. Utilizing HP Designjet ePrint & Share allows timely ease of access to critical files and data, which can often spell the difference between success and failure when dealing with a crush of stringent deadlines and shortened project schedules.
“With Reprographic Services Association utilizing the capability of HP Designjet ePrint & Share and the HP Designjet ePrinters, customers are able to save time and help keep projects on track with quicker access to documents,” said Alex Monino, Marketing Director, Large Format Design, HP.
“We are working with Reprographic Services Association to bring these innovations to the architecture, engineering and construction industries to simplify the use of paper-based communication as well as collaboration with digital workflows.”
HP Designjet ePrint & Share allows remote printing access to the HP Designjet ePrinters and eMFP, and affords project teams alternatives in distributing large format digital files from anywhere across the globe and printing them where they are required. It becomes a simple “Pick-it”, “Click-it,” and “Print-it” process right from the PlanCommand workstation. Larry Morken, Director Sales and Marketing, for RSA summed it up by saying, “Leveraging HP’s ePrint & Share technology has given us the increased functionality and improved efficiency that project teams are demanding today. It advances the benefits of a collaborative sharing environment in the document workflow process.”
Users of the HP DesignJet T2300 eMFP can scan Large Format hard copies such as markups or red-line documents at the jobsite, then make the newly created digital file available to project team members located anywhere in the world. Often times project requirements that include submittals and RFQs leave no alternative but to combine digital and hard copy information into a digital file package to be shared within a project team environment. HP Designjet ePrint & Share makes this possible and in a timely manner.
