About 40 Mirena lawsuits are already filed in the new multidistrict litigation, according to a Reuters report published on April 24, 2013. Plaintiffs allege that the label for the Mirena IUD fails to adequately warn that the device can perforate the uterine wall and migrate to other parts of the body.
