El Segundo, CA (PRWEB) May 28, 2013
JustFab.com, the fashion subscription service and lifestyle fashion brand, is announcing the launch of JustFab.org, a new website providing a comprehensive look at the company’s mission, charity initiatives and partner organizations. Since the company’s inception in 2010, JustFab has dedicated its philanthropic efforts to positively impacting women and underserved youth through cause marketing partnerships, charitable events and donations, while also supporting a broad range of causes in order to help improve the lives of those in its communities on both a local and global level.
Now, with the launch of JustFab.org, other well-deserving charities and organizations will be able to gain an understanding of JustFab’s mission, approach and past work, and will be able to submit requests for support through the website. The website also features a blog with updates on the company’s recent charitable activities.
"At JustFab, we believe it’s our responsibility to not only help women look good, but also feel good as well,” said Don Ressler, co-CEO of JustFab. “Through the new JustFab.org site, we will be able to share how we are giving back to the communities we live and work in, as well as giving deserving organizations a way to connect with us.”
"We believe that we should do what we can to help raise awareness and make a meaningful impact on the lives of those in need,” said Adam Goldenberg, JustFab co-CEO. “We are proud to have contributed our time, energy and resources to such a wide range of philanthropic efforts since our company began just three short years ago.”
Creating Relationships within Local Communities
On JustFab.org, JustFab shares details of its numerous charity initiatives, many of which are centered around local nonprofit organizations in the communities in which it operates.
Since opening a corporate office in Charlotte over 2 years ago, JustFab has been actively involved with the Charlotte affiliate of Dress for Success, which helps disadvantaged women by providing professional attire, a network of support and the career development tools to help them thrive in work and in life. As a fashion company, JustFab understands how hard it can be to dress and look the part for many women who are re-entering the workforce.
The Charlotte JustFab team has worked closely with Dress for Success Charlotte to help its clients feel comfortable and fabulous during their search for employment, through funding continued education, donating proceeds from sample sales, contributing product to supplement interview wardrobes, and encouraging employees to volunteer in teaching skillsets to women working with Dress for Success Charlotte. As part of its relationship with the affiliate, last year JustFab sponsored the 7th Annual Look at Her Power, the affiliate’s signature fundraising event, which raised a record-breaking $150,000 to benefit programs and services that help women enter the workforce and advance their careers.
Apart from supporting causes through monetary contributions, JustFab seeks to engage employees with its philanthropic outreach and initiatives. JustFab recently hosted events at its corporate offices in Los Angeles and Charlotte to support The Cinderella Project, a program offered by the Los Angeles organization, A Place Called Home, that provides donated dresses, suits, footwear, accessories, and cosmetics to allow teenage girls and boys attend milestone events such as prom or graduation. Employees and JustFab members mingled as they enjoyed light refreshments in exchange for donating a gently-used dress or suit, collecting over 250 dresses and suits. JustFab furthered the contribution by donating shoes bags and jewelry to help the young women complete their formal attire.
Style for Good
JustFab has also created several special collections to benefit charity organizations as part of its mission to support groups who are working towards improving the lives of others.
In celebration of breast cancer awareness month in October 2012, JustFab designed a pink shoe and handbag to benefit the Orange County Affiliate of the Susan G. Komen Foundation, For the Cure. JustFab committed to donating all proceeds from sales of the items to benefit the fight against breast cancer, raising over $20,000 for the organization. In addition to creating the special collection for The Komen Orange County Affiliate, JustFab encouraged employee volunteerism by bringing a shoe truck to the 2012 Komen Orange County Race for the Cure event in Newport Beach, CA, where JustFab employees sold hundreds of shoes to benefit the affiliate. In 2011, JustFab also created a shoe and handbag to benefit Triple Step Toward the Cure, an organization dedicated to educating and empowering women with breast cancer.
As a company that serves and celebrates its community of over 11 million fashion-savvy women, JustFab has worked directly with its fans on philanthropic campaigns. Last year, JustFab partnered with YouTube sensation and blogger, Dulce Candy, to create a hot pink shoe and matching handbag to benefit Operation Gratitude, a nonprofit dedicated to sending care packages to the men and women in the US military in order to lift morale and express the country’s respect and gratitude for their service. The collection was promoted by Dulce Candy, a former service member, throughout her social media channels to raise awareness for the organization as well as drive sales of the collection, which raised over $10,000 for Operation Gratitude.
