Glen Johnson is a fantastic player and we have been working hard to provide the most fantastic resource that is both enjoyable to use and useful.

Although predominantly a right back he can also play on the opposite flank or wide in midfield, his key attribute being his ability to push forward and support the attack. Glen began his career with West Ham, before being snapped up by Chelsea following the Hammers’ relegation from the top flight at the end of 2002-03.

However, he never really established himself at Stamford Bridge and after joining Portsmouth on loan he moved permanently in August 2007. Glen earned an FA Cup winners’ medal for Pompey as a member of the team that defeated Cardiff in the 2008 Cup Final before eventually moving on to join Liverpool.

Glen Johnson has been a regular in the side since arriving at Anfield. He appeared in the Carling Cup final against Cardiff City last season, scoring the decisive penalty in the shoot-out to win the Cup, and featured throughout the season.

Glen won his first cup for England at the age of 19 and has now made over 40 appearances for his country.

Head of Operations at DSG, Matthew Tait had this to say “Liverpool's Glen Johnson is a fantastic player and we have been working hard to provide the most fantastic resource that is both enjoyable to use and useful. Working with the PFA provides unique biographical information and insights that can be found nowhere else online. We are proud of our partnership with the Professional Footballers Association and the unrivalled access this provides us to the players.”

DSG became the official digital partner of the Professional Footballers Association (PFA) earlier this year and have since launched a number of Player profile fan pages on social media site Facebook as well as providing official player pages on their football news site football.co.uk.
