Dialtel is focusing its efforts on building a strong and reliable Wholesale SIP Trunking platform. They already have most of the technology in place such as LRN Routing, LCR Routing, Jurisdictional Lookups, and an Online Portal.
They anticipate a launch date of July 1st for the SIP Trunking product but they are already looking beyond that point. Dialtel CEO, Erik Scanlan, said in a statement, “We would like to create a strong competitive advantage for our customers beyond the offering of SIP Trunking. To do this we are going to focus on carrier tools such as Target Evaluation, LCR Bashing, CDR Reconciliation, and Cost Forecasting.”
There is no anticipated launch date for the inclusion of these tools into their arsenal, but they are definitely going to release the SIP Trunking product first and then use customer feedback to create these tools in a way that is useful for their customers.
They plan on charging for the tools separately for carriers who do not use them for termination but at the same time offering discounts or the ability to use the tools for free if the customer reaches a specific volume of termination.
These tools will give newer less developed carriers a very strong competitive advantage in termination. They will be able to evaluate CDR’s from potential customers to find target counts, build LCR’s from multiple carriers and find the better performing rate decks, reconcile CDR’s to find out how accurate the billing is from carriers they deal with, and estimate the cost of traffic using sample data that a potential customer provides.
