Squared Goes Online - Google Scales Up Its Digital Marketing Course

Having officially launched its Squared programme earlier this year, Google has now created an exciting online version in partnership with e-learning experts Home Learning College.

500 people who have expressed an interest to date, almost 100 of these have been from outside of the UK - another early indicator of the potential reach and scale of the online programme.

The website for the Squared Online course is now live at http://www.wearesquared.com and the team are accepting enrolments for two pilot intakes in July and September.

Taught part-time over six months, with interactive classes, high profile expert speakers, debates, projects and case studies, participants are set to graduate with a unique expertise in digital marketing as required by agencies, advertisers, and employers.

Dan Cobley continued: “Squared's collaborative and interactive network has increased well beyond being just an education programme, and now more future leaders can take part in the learning experience than ever before. The online programme can be accessed from anywhere across the country, making the Squared fraternity richer and even more expansive."

Endorsed by the IPA and created by Google in collaboration with the wider marketing community, the new course is designed to equip the leaders of the future with the tools and mindset to embrace emerging opportunities in digital marketing.

Michael Curry, co-founder of Floream, the parent company of Home Learning College, said: “Since the online version was announced in February we have received a lot of interest from both individuals who want to take the course and employers who want to send their staff. Notably of the 500 people who have expressed an interest to date, almost 100 of these have been from outside of the UK - another early indicator of the potential reach and scale of the online programme.”

Applicants who get placed onto one of the two pilot courses in July and September will pay the reduced price of £1,000 + VAT (or £1,200 including VAT). The pricing model will be revisited in 2014 to be more in line with other courses at this level, with the opportunity for bursaries for exceptional young talent.
