Private Detective Leicester gives information on parental mobile phone monitoring in light of recent The Telegraph report by Melanie Hall dated 29 April 2013

Young people sexting is a problem that needs addressing by parents, carers, teachers and the government. In my professional opinion parental mobile phone monitoring is an effective way of finding out a child is involved in this type of situation

According to the Telegraph report by Melanie hall (29 April, 2013): Children as young as 10 are ‘sexting’, says study, reports that the findings show that boys frequently send pictures of their genitals to female pupils and 12 year old girls agree to boyfriends’ demands to send revealing pictures of themselves or are pictured carrying out sexual acts. The classroom survey was carried out by Michelle Barry who works with children aged 7 and upwards as part of the Southampton Rape Crisis’ preventative education STAR project.

Ms Barry said: "I was gobsmacked when I asked a class of 13-year-olds if they had ever sent naked pictures of themselves and not a single hand did not go up.
The Telegraph report goes on to say that last week, the Sex Education Forum (SEF) published a new magazine that includes discussing the dangers of sexting with pupils aged 11 to 14. A study by the NSPCC last year reported that up to 405 of young people had been involved with sexting and that teenage girls were under pressure from classmates to provide sexually explicit pictures of themselves.

Sexting is a serious problem among young people and as a result Private Detective Leicester offer parental phone monitoring for parents of children who they feel may be a risk of involvement in sexting. The service is discrete and undetectable on the phone. It provides a report of all the activity on the mobile including text messages and of social networking sties visited. This enables the parent or carer of the child the ability to discuss the dangers of sexting to the child and may also bring up some other issues that need discussing.

Spokesperson from Private Detective Leicester, Vanessa Vickers said:
