The first single from the album is Armin van Buuren featuring Trevor Guthrie, 'This Is What It Feels Like,' a soaring and infectious song that is quickly rising up through the U.S. Billboard radio charts.

After an appearance on “The Wendy Williams Show” and a SiriusXM live radio broadcast in New York and even a performance with the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra (the Royal Dutch Orchestra) at the personal behest of Holland’s crowned King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima in The Netherlands – all in the same week – the world’s #1 DJ Armin van Buuren then set off on his whirlwind North American tour in support of his fifth and latest studio album, Intense (Armada North America). In a few short weeks, sales of the album topped iTunes pre-order charts in 20 countries and by the time van Buuren hit the May 9th stop on his Intense tour in Tampa, physical copies of the CD were completely sold-out of stores and even sold-out on Amazon.com.

For the first date of this leg of the Intense tour at Palladium in Los Angeles on May 3rd, van Buuren treated the capacity crowd to a preview of his upcoming ARMIN ONLY show by bringing out several vocalists from the Intense album to perform their tracks live. Those singers/songwriters included, Trevor Guthrie, Emma Hewitt, Laura Jansen, Lauren Evans, Aruna and Cindy Alma. Judging by the reaction of the crowd, the show was much more akin to a live concert than the typical DJ fare. Even FOX-TV Los Angeles came out to cover van Buuren’s Palladium show and reporters from Forbes Magazine and MSN.COM came out to interview Armin during the tour. A relentless string of breathless press coverage in the electronic dance music (EDM) and mainstream press has followed for each date thereafter.

Having taken three years to complete, Armin van Buuren’s Intense album feels like a victory lap from one of the world’s most popular and hardworking DJs and producers. While staying true to his signature emotional, soaring, uplifting sound, Intense also sees van Buuren spreading his wings and reaching out into less familiar territory, musically. The result is a brilliant gem of an album, a story of enlightenment told from start to finish.
