Monthly seminars will be held through September and are open to the community.

Experient Health has experienced professionals who help guide individuals through buying an Individual Health Insurance Plan.

No matter which type of coverage you are searching for, or have questions about, we’d like to help the community better understand what options they have.

Experient Health will host a series of seminars through the summer to help families and individuals learn more about health care reform.

The one hour seminars will be held June 13, July 11, Aug. 8 and Sept. 12 and run from 6 to 7 p.m. at the Virginia Farm Bureau home office at 12580 West Creek Parkway in Richmond.

“Purchasing an insurance policy is no easy task,” said Brad Spence, a health care consultant with Experient Health.

“Throw in the questions many have of how health care reform laws will impact their families and you have an opportunity for education. No matter which type of coverage you are searching for, or have questions about, we’d like to help the community better understand what options they have.”

New health care reform laws that go into effect in 2014 mandate that individuals carry health insurance or, in most cases, pay a fine. Consumers will have to purchase plans that are comprehensive with a minimum level of coverage.

The seminars are meant to provide an open forum to ask questions about, among other health care reform topics, exchanges, tax credits, essential health benefits, pre-existing conditions and network requirements.
