Schletter©, a worldwide leader in photovoltaic mounting systems, announces the certification of its all-steel solar mounting system to UL Subject 2703. Released in mid-2012, the FS Uno is the first all-steel system offered by Schletter. The system utilizes a single-post design to reduce installation time and is suitable for most all terrain conditions.
Intertek©, the issuing organization of the ETL Mark Classification, engaged in extensive system testing in order to qualify the bonding of the system in its entirety, including all components. Photovoltaic mounting systems sold under the FS Uno and FS Uno-100 model numbers now comply with the standard for safety under UL-Subject-2703. Schletter will begin producing FS Uno Systems with the ETL Mark by the end of May 2013.
“One of Schletter’s top priorities is to design systems which will surpass industry standards because we know how important that is to our customers,” explained Angela Kliever, VP of Sales and Marketing for Schletter. “This is an important recognition for the FS Uno and we look forward to its expanded utilization in the market.”
The FS Uno has a single, pile-driven foundation suitable for most terrain conditions. Also offered under this product line is the FS Uno 100, which features an east-west facing system on a single foundation post. Incorporated into either system design is an adaptation of Schletter’s proprietary Rapid2+ grounding module clamps modified for use on the system’s Z-purlin design for quick module connections. The Rapid2+ ground module clamp received ETL Listing under UL-467 and CAN/CSA-C22.2 No. 41.
