This Summer Go Behind the Scenes For a Real Adventure in New York City With Hidden Harbor Tours® Debuting May 21 South Street Seaport. New Beyond Sandy Series - Keeping the Conversation Alive Post Super Storm Sandy Presented By Circle Line Downtown and the Working Harbor Committee.

Hidden Harbor Tours® summer sightseeing series of New York’s and New Jersey’s bustling waterfront kicks off May 21, 2013 at 6:15pm with its inaugural tour, “Beyond Sandy: Keeping the Conversation Alive.” Hidden Harbor Tours® inaugural sailing on May 21, 2013, features noted participants and speakers appearing dockside at 6:15pm, Pier 16, South Street Seaport, New York City. Hidden Harbor Tours® are presented by the Working Harbor Committee (non-profit) in partnership with the New York Water Taxi/Circle Line Downtown and will feature noted speakers throughout this summer.

Visitors to New York City and tri-state area residents this summer are in for a true adventure as they enjoy Hidden Harbor Tours® aboard the luxury yacht ZEPHYR (not a tugboat) and go behind the scenes of the inner-workings of New York’s and New Jersey’s bustling harbors. Hidden Harbor Tours® depart every Tuesday through September 24, 2013, at 6:30pm from Pier 16 South Street Seaport, New York (Fulton Street and South Street).

Hidden Harbor Tours® May 21 inaugural Beyond Sandy tour by the Working Harbor Committee with the New York Water Taxi/Circle Line Downtown features the following participants: Captain John Doswell, Working Harbor Committee; Helena Durst, President, New York Water Taxi; Lucy Ambrosino, Outreach Manager of Port Commerce Department, Port Authority New York & New Jersey; Dr. Philip Orton, research scientist, Stevens Institute of Technology, Hoboken, New Jersey; Rich Marin, CEO and President, New York Wheel, LLC; Jim Pelliccio, CEO and President, Port Newark Container Terminal; Jill Eisenhard, Executive Director, Red Hook Initiative.

Throughout the summer three new Hidden Harbor Tours® Beyond Sandy themed sailing tours feature different areas of interest: Tour 1: High Seas on the Inner Harbor: From Wall Street to Snug Harbor; Tour 2: Fire, Floods and Floating Containers: East River – Hell Gate to Governors Island; Tour 3: Protecting Our Ports: From Red Hook to Newark Bay. On select Tuesdays, Hidden Harbor Tours will feature Newark Bay and North River tours.
