Micah Schwalb, an associate in the Denver office at the international law firm of Greenberg Traurig LLP, was elected a member of the Colorado Public Television Board of Directors for a three-year term that commenced on April 2, 2013. Colorado Public Television provides a diverse mix of programs that increase dialog and understanding around topics that interest and concern the public.

Schwalb is a member of the firm’s Corporate & Securities practice, works closely with the firm’s White Collar Criminal Defense Practice Group and the Global Energy and Infrastructure Practice Group. He represents both public and private companies in private placements, M&A, and venture capital, in particular companies focused on energy and natural resources, as well as healthcare, software, and utilities providers. He also counsels companies on matters related to the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) and export controls.
Before joining Greenberg Traurig, he served as in-house counsel for a regional cellular telecommunications provider. There he managed the company's government affairs efforts and strategic corporate transactions, and also appeared before the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), the National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA), the Rural Utilities Service, and various state legislatures.
In addition to his legal practice, Schwalb is an active member of the community. He served as a member of the Governor’s Broadband Council in 2010 and as a consultant to the Governor’s Innovation Council in 2009. Schwalb was listed a “Rising Star” in the 2013 Super Lawyers magazine, Colorado Super Lawyers.
Schwalb received his master of laws from Peking University in 2009, his juris doctorate from the University of Colorado Law School in 2007, and his bachelor’s degree from Northwestern University in 2000.
