We developed a wall charger with dual 2.1A output ports that charges the Limeade Blast at full speed while simultaneously supporting the charge of an additional 2.1A capable mobile device.
Boulder, CO (PRWEB) May 17, 2013
Limeade introduced today its new dual port USB 4.2A 21W travel wall charger for use with any USB charging cable. The wall charger was developed to complement the 2A speed charge input built into the Limeade Blast L180X 18000mAh external battery that debuted on Kickstarter earlier in May.
2.1A charge speeds are still an emerging technology in the mobile market, and many consumers do not yet have a wall charger capable of supporting these speeds. “We needed a solution that will allow all our customers to maximize the utility of the 2A input on our Blast series of external batteries,” said Paul Lin, Co-founder and CEO, “We developed a wall charger with dual 2.1A output ports that charges the Limeade Blast at full speed while simultaneously supporting the charge of an additional 2.1A capable mobile device.”
The Limeade wall charger is one of the first on the market to feature a 4.2A, built-in collapsible plug with over power, current, and short circuit protection. The form factor measures 50 x 50 x 29mm (1.9 x 1.9 x 1.1in), and is small enough that it won’t block access to other power outlets in the wall or on a power strip.
The charger is currently in production by Limeade and will be available for shipment in July 2013. Anyone interested in buying Limeade’s 4.2A charger can do so by pledging for one on Kickstarter here: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/mylimeade/limeade-blast-18000mah-ultra-high-capacity-battery
