SAN DIEGO, Calif. (PRWEB) May 20, 2013
Broke But Bougie (BBB), an online platform dedicated to helping young women take on the daunting yet exciting professional world without breaking the bank or losing their minds, launched a new web series called “5 Reason Friday.”
“’5 Reason Friday” is the newest excuse to take five minutes on a Friday afternoon to watch a fun, quirky and entertaining video on any topic ranging from, ‘Why Grey’s Anatomy Will Always be a Guilty Pleasure’ to ‘Why it’s Important to Have Arugula in your Pantry,’” said Founder of BBB, Bridget Lappert. “We thought making a web series about five reasons why you should or shouldn’t do something would be a great way to bring a light hearted end of the week reprise to our readers.”
Studies show that taking breaks throughout the work day can improve productivity. “5 Reason Friday” is meant to be the opportunity to help recharge the brain to survive those last couple of hours before the weekend. Broke But Bougie is about living life to the fullest without spending big bucks and this web series is the latest cost-effective way to de-stress and relax.
The web series will consist of a five minute video streamed on Broke But Bougie’s YouTube page as well as posted on their Facebook page that will air every Friday. Broke But Bougie’s goal is to create content that is relatable to everyone. They want people to share the videos with friends and family as well as submit ideas themselves to be featured in an episode.
“Even though I don’t get to interact with my readers face-to-face I still want to be relatable and have Broke But Bougie be a place they want to visit for news, fashion and budget-friendly tips,” said Lappert. “Making a weekly interactive video that my readers can relate to was the perfect way to do that.”
BBB offers fashion, etiquette, beauty and cooking tips and empowering stories on how to do it all on your own without spending your whole paycheck. The writers and contributors are committed to providing the best advice and tricks about how to live life on a budget.
