The goal of the Five Diamond Model is to help organizations maximize their ability to achieve business results through next generation learning solutions.

Intrepid Learning announces the release of a new, industry-leading model for integrating corporate training and development programs. The Five Diamond Model was developed by director of product development John Hathaway and principal consultant Sarah Thompson. The model allows organizations of any size to create a learning strategy that integrates formal classroom-based learning with informal learning communities in a continuous cycle to drive business improvement.

The eBook “The Five Diamond Model: A New Holistic Learning Framework,” authored by Hathaway and Thompson, will be launched in conjunction with Intrepid Learning’s presence at ASTD ICE, the American Society of Training and Development’s annual International Conference and Exhibition, in Dallas, Texas this week.

“We’ve always pushed ourselves to help clients understand the big picture: how informal learning is best situated as part of a coherent, holistic solution that delivers business results,” said Sam Herring, CEO of Intrepid Learning. “From our inception in 1999, we have been an industry leader helping clients understand how to integrate learning and technology effectively. The Five Diamond Model is the natural evolution of our expertise integrating learning and technology in the performance environment. Simply put, the goal of the Five Diamond Model is to help organizations maximize their ability to achieve business results through next generation learning solutions.”

“Learning programs on their own function like a wheel,” adds Hathaway. “But what we’ve seen in the learning industry is that organizations struggle with integrating their learning and development tools and initiatives in a coherent fashion that allows learning to become a holistic part of the organization’s day-to-day workflow. The Five Diamond Model takes that wheel and adds the gears and framework to turn it into a vehicle – one that can help organization reimagine how to integrate simple learning strategies with their overall business goals.”

In addition to the launch of the Five Diamond Model eBook, Intrepid Learning will be presenting two sessions at ASTD ICE. Intrepid Learning CEO and co-founder Sam Herring will present “Best Practices for Developing Innovation Capabilities through Learning” and Sarah Thompson will join Herring in presenting “Intelligent Learning Design: Redefining Blended Learning.”
