Our goal is to help Boomers & Seniors become more computer savvy in order to find or keep a job in today's tech driven world.
Plano, TX (PRWEB) May 21, 2013
Bill and Mimi Witcher, founders of MyPCSchool.com, today announced their intention to complete their vision for a SEE-READ-DO Learning System™ for Boomers and Seniors by adding videos to their virtual campus.
The SEE-READ-DO Learning System™ provides a computer education approach that is totally unique in the online learning space. There are over 500 Lesson Plans at MyPCSchool.com written in easy-to-understand senior-friendly language with graphics. The content is presented in bite-size chunks so the lessons are not overwhelming.
In her late 50’s, Mimi went from being intimidated by computers to taking classes … to teaching classes to seniors in the Emeritus Program at Richland College in Dallas, TX.
Her classes had a waiting list to get in. “Having attended one of Mimi’s Photoshop classes myself,” said Dee Hobson, Richland Visiting Scholar, “it was amazing to me the amount of material she was able to cover and the depth of understanding she provided her students. Her class was fun, informative, inspiring and truly motivational.”
At the age of 61, Mimi Witcher was recognized by her students and peers with the Richland College Excellence in Teaching Award as Teacher of the Year.
“I had a system that worked,” said Mimi. “And now, we want to duplicate what was so successful in the classroom on the Internet. Our goal is to empower thousands of Boomers and Seniors who need to become more computer savvy to keep or find a job in today’s tech driven world.”
“We are in the process of producing short, encouraging videos for all of Mimi’s Lesson Plans,” said Bill Witcher, Co-Founder. “By being able to SEE the Lesson Plan before they do it, our students will be able to visualize the lesson as they do it.”
The Witcher’s designed their campus-website to enable their students to print each Lesson Plan. This gives them something to READ and refer to as they finally DO each Lesson Plan on their computer.
Bill and Mimi have demonstrated how tech savvy they have become by turning to “crowdfunding”, the new high tech way to raise funds for your idea, business or project. Their campaign to fund their videos was launched today on Indiegogo at igg.me/at/mypcschool.
