These features are a testament to our vision. Users want exact results when using a voice interface, not just blue links that are merely related. When you first use Sports or TV search on Maluuba, you’ll realize how easy and fast search can be.

Maluuba announced today the release of two landmark features, TV Episode and Sports search, for their popular voice powered Personal Assistant App available for Windows Phone 8 and Android.

Maluuba makes finding what to watch on TV quick and simple. If a viewer wants to watch the show Seinfeld, all they have to say is, "Where can I watch Seinfeld" and a show schedule, complete with the episodes, channel and airing times is presented to the viewer. Viewers who don't have a particular show in mind can use Maluuba to find shows by genre. Through Maluuba’s voice-activated interface, the viewer can say, "What sitcoms are on at 9 p.m." and sitcoms that are airing in that time period are presented in an rich and elegant display.

Sports season is well underway with the NBA, NHL and MLB all holding regular or post-season matches. Maluuba now supports these leagues, letting fans find out whether their team has won a decisive match. For instance asking, "What’s the score of the Red Sox game," will inform the user not only the score of the game but also other contextual information such as the number of outs, hits and errors. Upcoming matches can also be found by asking, "What hockey games are happening tomorrow?"

Maluuba's proprietary, patent-pending language engine allows users to speak naturally without needing to learn rules or commands. First launched for Android at TechCrunch Disrupt 2012 as a Battlefield finalist, Maluuba has received industry recognition for its accuracy and speed. With its recent release for Windows Phone 8, which quickly made it to the top 3 free apps in its opening weekend, Maluuba has continued its momentum.

“These features are a testament to our vision. Users want exact results when using a voice interface, not just blue links that are merely related. When you first use Sports or TV search on Maluuba, you’ll realize how easy and fast search can be," said Product Manager Mohamed Musbah.

Available as a free download for Windows Phone 8 on the Windows Phone Store and for Android on the Google Play Store, Sports and TV Search are added to the growing list of features Maluuba offers. Maluuba can help schedule appointments, place calls, check the weather, find businesses and restaurants, discover concerts and nearby events, find online shopping results, set reminders, play from a user's music library and more.

Maluuba is currently available on the Android and Windows Phone 8 platform.
