Leading trade-to-trade used car network has increased its bidding audience by launching a smartphone and tablet version of its online vehicle auction service.

Mobile devices account for 18% of our website traffic, up from 12% last quarter. Giving mobile users access to our online auctions increases our bidding audience significantly resulting in the best prices possible for our sellers.

Trade-only car dealer website has launched its latest service, a mobile version of Tradeouts Auctions. The new service, free to customers, allows dealers with smart phones and tablets to view and bid on online real-time auctions on the move.

Managing Director David Brown says “The mobile side of our business now accounts for over 18% of our visitors, up from 12% last quarter and Tradeouts Auction has been well received by the trade. Giving mobile users access to our auctions adds convenience for our bidders increasing our bidding audience significantly and returning the best price possible for our sellers.”

Users of the new mobile service are able to search the latest Tradeouts stock, view lots with full vehicle details, condition information, images and place proxy bids. Proxy bidding lets users enter the maximum they would like to bid for a vehicle, the Tradeouts system will then automatically place the lowest possible bid on their behalf, up to that maximum.

The innovative Tradeouts Auction CanBid feature minimises bidder frustration as bids received in the final minute of an auction will extend the auction for a further minute to allow counter bidders time to respond thus achieving the very best sale price for the seller.

Under its slogan “Don’t get hammered”, Tradeouts Auctions addresses one of the biggest costs on the balance sheet; auctioning cars online gives the best of both worlds whilst removing high fees. Tradeouts is offering Tradeouts Auctions as a free service to regular subscribers, with no buyers fees and no sellers fees.

Launched just four months ago, Tradeouts Auction has been well received by the trade keen to minimise their costs and maximise their returns with hundreds of vehicles auctioned each month already.
