Carmelo Anthony’s Haute Time Kicks Off Round Two of Timepiece Madness 2013

In a luxe twist on March madness, Haute Time’s readers are voting to pick the best watch of the year during Timepiece Madness 2013. Round One of the second annual contest has already closed, with fierce competition as the world’s leading luxury manufactures go head to head in a bid to become the watch of the year.

Last week, Haute Time, the premiere luxury watch magazine and website, kicked off Carmelo Anthony’s Haute Time Timepiece Madness 2013, a voter-driven contest where the top timepieces in haute horlogerie compete against each other to determine the hautest watch of 2013.

In each bracket, two watches face off, and the watch with the most votes moves on to the next round. Round 1 has officially closed, and the timepieces with the most votes are moving on to Round 2! Some matchups were close, while others were a landslide, indicating early leaders.

Round Two kicks off at midnight tonight, May 20, and the watches our readers choose will move on to Round Three (May 25-28), the Quarter Finals (May 30-June 3), the Semi Finals (June 6-10) and the Finals (June 13-17)! The pieces that will face off during Round Two of the tournament-style Time Madness competition are:

Haute Living co-publisher and Haute Time managing editor Seth Semilof said of the competition: “I myself am a huge watch enthusiast, and wanted to share the incredible watches I discovered at SIHH and BaselWorld this year with our readers. So we selected our 64 favorite new pieces from this year, and we’re going to let our readers fight it out to have their favorite piece selected as the best new watch,” Semilof explained. “I’m very excited to see which watch our readers pick. I have a few favorites of my own, so I’ll be keeping a close eye on the competition!”
