Sub Zero Ice Cream & Yogurt is sponsoring a Flavor of the Year contest for customers to experiment with flavors and mix-ins. The winner will receive a full year of free Sub Zero ice cream.

Using liquid nitrogen to create your own ice cream flavor is now fun and rewarding. Starting May 20, 2013, Sub Zero Ice Cream & Yogurt is sponsoring a Flavor of the Year contest. Customers can submit personal ice cream creations online and win a year’s supply of Sub Zero ice cream.

“I love working in the store and hearing the combinations of our faithful Sub Zero fans,” said Peter Black, Marketing Director of Sub Zero Ice Cream. “This contest will motivate our customers to get even more creative.”

From May 20 to June 30, customers at all Sub Zero locations submit personal ice cream creations online. Each customer is allowed only one flavor, so customers are encouraged to experiment to find the best combination of flavors to increase their chances. To enter a creation, visit http://www.subzeroicecream.com/flavor-of-the-year-2013. Twenty lucky winners will advance to the viral round of the competition.

From July 1 to July 31, the chosen 20 creations will enter a viral competition through Facebook where friends and family members vote on the best creations. The seven flavors with the most votes at the end of the month will be invited to the final round.

On August 17, 2013, the seven finalists will be invited to the Flavor of the Year event in Utah where celebrity judges will taste each creation and award the winner a free year’s supply of Sub Zero ice cream.

The winning creation will also be featured in every Sub Zero store for people to purchase. With over 34 trillion different flavor combinations, creation possibilities are endless.
