Chicago Bear and King George local Jermon Bushrod will host his 3rd Annual “Visualize & Rize” Celebrity Charity Golf Tournament to raise funds towards book scholarships and athletic programs for local students as well for the local YMCA. The golf tournament is scheduled to take place on Friday, June 14th at Cameron Hills Golf Course, located at 14140 Salem Church Road, King George, VA 22485. Registration for the first flight is at 7:00 am with an 8 am shotgun start, and 12:00 pm for the second flight with a shotgun start at 2:00 pm. The tournament is open to the general public with registration packages available for individuals ($100), pairs ($200), or teams ($400).
The annual free football camp for ages 6-14 will occur the following day, June 15th at 2 pm at King George High School, 10100 Foxes Way, King George, VA 22485. The camp is designed to build character and to instruct each player in the basic fundamentals of football. Emphasis will be placed on positioning, skills, and overall knowledge of the game.
Celebrity athletes in addition to Bushrod that will be in attendance for both events include New Orleans Saints Roman Harper, Mark Ingram, and Zach Strief, San Francisco 49ers Jonathan Goodwin, Tampa Bay Buccaneers Carl Nicks, Washington Redskins Ron Brace, Baltimore Ravens Torrey Smith, San Diego Chargers Johnny Patrick, former Washington Redskin Leigh Torrence along with retired players Fred McAfee, Mike Nelms, George Coghill, Johnny Grubb, Gene Alley, and Jim Coates.
The golf tournament has sold out every year since its inception including the addition of the second flight from last year. With increasing demand, the tournament this year offers 200 available spots to play. Following the success of the 2012 tournament, Bushrod donated $25,000 for local youth programs including $10,000 for King George High School football program (where Bushrod is an alumnus), $10,000 for book scholarships to six local high schools, and $5,000 for the King Gorge YMCA. The day of the tournament will also feature a live auction, a raffle, and a Celebrity Awards Reception with food and drinks that will be available to the public with the purchase of a $20 ticket.

The Visualize & Rize Foundation Summer Football camp began in 2009 and has been at capacity each year even with the expanding coaching staff. Each year the camp has over 300 participants. With guest coaches including NFL stars Jermon Bushrod, Jahri Evans, Zach Strief, Jonathan Goodwin, Roman Harper, Mark Ingram, Torrey Smith, Nate Bussey, Johnny Patrick, Leigh Torrence and Usama Young.
