Chattanooga, TN (PRWEB) May 21, 2013
FwdHealth, LLC is proud to be a participant in the local GIGTANK accelerator program. The 90-day program began on Monday, May 13 and is an opportunity for FwdHealth to substantially grow its vision and business. The FwdHealth team will build and test its product while taking advantage of the Chattanooga’s high-speed Internet. GIGTANK is the world’s only accelerator focused on gigabit fiber networks and will be an integral part of pushing FwdHealth’s pilot program to market.
FwdHealth’s pilot program sets out to solve one of the major problems with the U.S. healthcare system. The current system is still largely reactive at best, and does not provide patients with sufficient control of their care. FwdHealth believes insurers and others are good at collecting clinical data, but lack the critical lifestyle information that is a part of the holistic model that drives use of and costs associated with the healthcare system.
FwdHealth President Shayne Woods said, “GIGTANK provides an excellent opportunity to accelerate our growth and connect with key stakeholders and their customers in a unique and meaningful way.”
Max Rava, FwdHealth’s Communications Director, elaborated on the team’s desire to run its operations from Chattanooga, “This is a very unique opportunity for us as a team and as individuals. We were attracted to this growing city and its entrepreneurial culture due to the wealth of resources it provides. Our whole team is very excited to be part of the next wave of entrepreneurs in this beautiful and supportive city.”
