Veracity Payment Solutions, a leading privately held merchant acquirer and provider of payment transaction processing services, today announced that the company’s Chief Financial Officer Stephanie Sharp has been named a finalist in the CFO of the Year Awards by the Atlanta Business Chronicle. This annual awards program recognizes the achievements of the very best CFOs in Atlanta. Winners will be announced at the CFO of the Year Awards breakfast on May 31 at the Georgia Aquarium.

“Stephanie has been instrumental in Veracity’s growth and market penetration since the company’s inception,” said Joseph Cohane, CEO of Veracity. “This recognition is a testament to her hard work, dedication and vision. As CFO of Veracity, Sharp is responsible for the company’s overall financial performance and planning, development of lender and investor relationships, operational accounting management and human resources. She has more than 15 years of experience in accounting and finance, including significant experience in the electronic payment industry. Previously, Sharp served as vice president and controller at NOVA Information Systems and was an auditor at Coopers and Lybrand. She has participated in executive level investor relations encompassing critical financial activities, such as public earnings release, investment banker due diligence and SEC filings. Sharp has a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from the University of Georgia.
