Buchanan & Edwards (BE) is attending the U.S. Department of State Mobile Computing Forum, this Thursday, May 23, 2013 at the Harry S. Truman Building in Washington, D.C. Buchanan & Edwards will sponsor a booth at the forum, where they will showcase the developments and innovations of their mobile practice. Featured at the booth will be two mobile applications, EM1 and Smart Traveler.
EM1 Application: EM1 was designed to assist federal customers in their abilities to ensure the safety and accountability of personnel, infrastructure and facilities. Using a series of processes and reporting functions, EM1 helps organizations to rapidly notify targeted personnel of emergencies (real or anticipated) and monitor their safety during the emergency.
Smart Traveler Application: Smart Traveler, the official State Department mobile app for U.S. travelers, invites users to see the world with easy access to frequently updated official country information, travel alerts, travel warnings, maps, U.S. embassy locations, and more. Buchanan & Edwards is under contract with the U.S. Department of State to deliver operations and maintenance services for Smart Traveler and to help update for new releases to the Apple Store and Google Play.
The U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Information Resource Management is hosting the Mobile Computing Forum this Thursday, May 23rd from 10:00am – 2:00pm, at the Harry S. Truman Building in Washington, D.C. This educational forum and IT expo reflects their mission to empower diplomacy, consular services and development, by providing access to information and technology solutions. Exhibitors—both small business and prime contractors—will showcase Mobile Computing products and services that can be utilized by the U.S. Government. The forum is open to all State Department personnel.
