The Artists Association of Jupiter, in conjunction with A Unique Art Gallery, celebrated a successful solo exhibition by painter Dawn Langstroth to benefit the Tequesta-based nonprofit organization Hannah’s Home of South Florida.

The turnout was great, and the donations were generous, resulting in more than $1,000 in proceeds coming in during the two-hour wine-and-cheese reception at the Center Street gallery. Hannah’s Home of South Florida aids young, unmarried pregnant women and mothers through personal counseling, life-skills training and help with continuing education. The campus is on County Line Road, southwest of Jupiter Hills.

Proceeds from sales of artwork by the selected artist – as well as by those who belong to the Artists Association of Jupiter -- go to each organization. Raffle tickets also are sold to generate funds.

The selected artist for the Hannah’s Home of South Florida is a Canadian painter whose whimsical works illustrate Langstroth's interpretation of the world and its familiar landscapes. She also writes music, draws and sketches
