CCTV images have been released in connection with a bowling alley brawl in Leicestershire, with police looking to question a man about the incident – according to a This Is Leicestershire report called ‘CCTV appeal after bowling alley brawl’ published on May 20.
The paper reports that the incident happened on Thursday February 28 and police believe the incident involved two groups of up to fourteen men.
Violence can be a problem in some areas and on some premises, particularly where alcohol is being consumed. AlertSystems stresses the importance of CCTV to provide important information on attacks as well as the ability to identify and ban troublemakers. Without it, prosecution can be a difficult process.
A spokesperson from AlertSystems said:
“Violence, particularly large groups, can be dangerous and frightening for both customers and staff. The ability to track down those involved is important and the installation of HD surveillance is pivotal in making this an easier process. Many existing CCTV systems rely on analogue technology and it is a fact that 80% of images recorded on these systems are inadmissible in court. A High Definition CCTV surveillance system will deliver evidential quality images leading to successful prosecutions and provide reassurance to staff and customers."
