An Academy in Sandwell is the first primary academy to launch a unique membership scheme for suppliers, which will raise money for pupils in the school.

Victoria Park Primary Academy recently launched The ViP Partner Scheme, which aims to formalise relationships with suppliers that hold the same ethos and values of the school. This gives both school and local businesses an opportunity to become part of a team to promote each other.

Education Recruitment Agency, Aspire People are among one of the first suppliers to become a “ViP Commitment Partner” to Victoria Park Academy.

The school’s curriculum manager Lisa Worgan said: “This scheme is about encouraging our suppliers to work alongside our school so they understand our needs and feel connected. This will develop longer-term relationships that are mutually beneficial. By utilising resources and skills that our partners can offer us we will be able to achieve tangible marketing and corporate social responsibility aims.”

Head of Marketing for Aspire People, Cherie-Anne Baxter, said: “We already have a good relationship with Victoria Park Primary Academy having supplied teaching staff to the school for around 4 years. When the school approached us about becoming a ViP we could not resist. It will give our recruitment agency the chance to demonstrate how much we care about supporting our schools and the staff and pupils within the community. I recommend the scheme to suppliers as it helps to raise our brand awareness throughout Sandwell. Not only will we feature on the school’s website and across their marketing but Aspire People will get opportunities to support the school when they hold events.”

Managing Director of Aspire People, Michaela Powell added: “I am really looking forward to getting involved in curriculum projects and school events. This relationship holds strong marketing benefits for us but more importantly it gives us a chance to really get involved in the school and enjoy working with them. One of the many reasons I set this business up was to be able to give back to the education community in a positive way. The business has finally got to the stage now where we can actually achieve this. A dream come true.”

Lisa continued: “Victoria Park Primary Academy is currently one of just 300 primary academies in the country. Classed as outstanding we are in the top 8% of the country. We want every partner of ViP to feel a part of this innovative journey.”

The money raised will enable Victoria Park Academy to invest in special projects for children that go above and beyond what the normal curriculum funding gives to schools, such as enterprising projects and opportunities where pupils can engage with the community.

Aspire People helps teachers across the west and east Midlands discover teaching jobs.
