R-Squared Services & Solutions, Inc. (R-Squared), a leading developer of compliance software for the life sciences industry, has released recordings of its recent 3-part webinar series “A Systemized Approach to Aggregate Spend and the Sunshine Act”. Each one-hour complimentary webinar concentrates on a core challenge of aggregate spend including (1) Finding & Categorizing Spend, (2) Harmonizing Data to Enable Efficiency in Reporting, and (3) Reporting & Leveraging Data.

The “Finding and Categorizing Spend” webinar focuses on practical approaches to getting started, including finding and determining relevancy of data, determining the processes that govern the activities and collection of data, identifying the relationships between different transactions and activities, and determining what gives rise to reportable spend transactions in your organization and what might color spending decisions.

“Harmonizing Data to Enable Efficiency in Reporting” focuses on practical approaches that reduce error, time and waste, including ensuring that sufficient detail is captured for tracking and reporting, harmonizing definitions and requirements to align data elements, integrating data from legacy systems, connecting data from disparate and multiple source systems, and building data fields properly to allowing easy and immediate updates.

The last in the series, “Leveraging Data & Reporting” focuses on practical approaches to generating reports including interim reports for internal purposes by compliance, audit, regulatory affairs, etc., checks on data integrity and completeness, specific reports required by state, federal and international governments and agencies, and avoiding fraud and abuse dangers in the use of data. This webinar also features a brief demo of R-Squared’s software solution for aggregate spend, SpendTracker®.

“It’s clear that most organizations will have hundreds, if not thousands, of people involved in the processes of data collection, management and reporting for the Sunshine Act as well as for numerous states and international organizations. Our goal in presenting these webinars is to help clarify the issues and provide some guidance so organizations can better prepare for what is a fast-approaching deadline,” said Michael Bell, Esq., CEO of R-Squared. “We received terrific feedback during the live events and expect that those who listen to the recordings will equally benefit,” he said.

R-Squared webinar presenters include Mike Bell, a nationally recognized compliance attorney with over 15 years experience in compliance and regulatory matters, and Marc Adler, Esq., Principal & Director, Compliance Consulting, who has assisted dozens of life science companies in connection with aggregate spend compliance initiatives. The series is designed for all those involved in the Sunshine Act, transparency or aggregate spend data or reporting including the Chief Compliance Officer and Compliance staff; the Controller, AP and other Finance staff; Medical Affairs staff; General Counsel and staff; and “C” level executives including the CFO and CIO.
