Retül University, the market leader in bike fit education, is proud to announce the formation of a strategic educational partnership with Ero Sports and Alphamantis Technologies to offer a bike industry first “Positioned for Speed” course combining advanced bike fit principles and aerodynamic assessment for time trial, road and triathlon bike fit.
This course will be a two-day experience offered to bike fitters with a Retül University, F.I.S.T. or S.I.C.I fit certification. The course will teach advanced principles of UCI legal Time Trial and Triathlon bike fit combined with on track aerodynamic drag and equipment testing protocol. Participants will leave this hands-on experience with an advanced understanding of how aerodynamics and fit work together to aid a rider and how a fitter can make equipment and position changes for a rider to enhance performance. The course will be instructed by Alphamantis aerodynamicist, Andy Froncioni, Retül University’s Chief Fit and Education Officer, Todd Carver and Ero Sports lead fitter and aero tester, Jim Manton.
“Aerodynamic drag has always played a role in our TT & Triathlon fit protocols, but until now, we haven’t been able to quantify the data, a cornerstone of Retül University Education,” shares Carver. “The Alphamantis on bike, real time measuring tools marry well to the hard data provided by the Retül system and we are excited to teach fitters how to make fit decisions using aerodynamics as a component of the fit.”
