Frankfort, NY (PRWEB) May 24, 2013
Memorial Day gets a whole lot sweeter this year as America’s favorite baker Buddy Valastro hits the road looking for a struggling family bakery to help transform into a dough-making success. For the one-hour special, Buddy travels to Frankfort, NY to visit Friendly Bake Shop, an Italian-American bakery run by three generations of the Viti family. Open for 52 years, the business is suffering from outdated processes, broken equipment, and an old-school philosophy on running a small-town business. Buddy brings his world-famous blend of business skills and baking expertise to work with this family and challenge them to make big changes all in an effort to transform their crumbling dream into a dough-making enterprise.
1-800-Charity Cars donated a Chrysler Town and Country Van during the show as a surprise to Family Bakery for their delivery business. “Working with Bakery Boss was such a positive and uplifting experience,” reflected Rose Hill, Spokesperson of 1-800-Charity Cars. “Any opportunity to help a struggling family transform their lives with a vehicle always gives us joy. Being part of the show is such an amazing opportunity for everyone to see how a donated vehicle can help change someone’s life.”
The new pilot BAKERY BOSS starts at 10 p.m. ET on TLC Monday, May 27th
BAKERY BOSS is produced for TLC by High Noon Entertainment.
