Kids II® won the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) Design Excellence bronze award in the corporate office category for offices over 25,000 sq. ft. Kids II has long held a position as a design-driven leader, having received many accolades for its baby and infant products.

The ASID Design Excellence Awards Competition recognizes and rewards outstanding execution of design. The Kids II project was judged by the Washington D.C. chapter of the ASID. The space was honored for its complexity of design intent and success in executing a challenging concept.
The Kids II award-winning office is nearly 100,000 square feet spread over four office floors in the Terminus building in Buckhead, plus 6,000 square feet of show room on the ground floor. A showcase feature is the slide, spiraling down from the nineteenth to the eighteenth floor. The bright and airy office also features modern furniture and red accents borrowed from the corporate logo.
"The offices were designed to support and inspire staff as well as reflect the company’s position as a design-driven innovator,” said Gunnigle.
Under the 35-foot ceiling of the showroom is an eight foot teak-veneered screen that curves around two red Egg chairs by Arne Jacobsen and a white pedestal table by Eero Saarinen. Sheer red shades in graduated lengths line the window wall.
Inside the teak-paneled reception area, located on the eighteenth floor, is a fireplace and red sofas by Joseph Paul D'Urso facing each other across a low steel table by Warren Platner. White wool shag covers the floor. In a glass-enclosed light well on the ceiling floats an Alexander Calder-esque mobile.
"The idea was to create collaborative spaces where people can work comfortably together," said Gunnigle. “Our success is driven by innovative and collaborative minds at Kids II, and we give them a space where they can excel at this.”
