By limiting sugary foods and drinks to meal times only, the acid attack on teeth caused by reaction of sugar and bacteria in the mouth may be reduced.

Learning proper oral care at a young age is imperative for a lifetime of healthy teeth and gums. By making this practice a habit, children will be more likely to continue this good behavior into their adulthood.

My Clean Teeth is a new, informational tool to help educators and parents teach children about the importance of good oral hygiene. From her experience as a dental nurse and studies in early childhood development, LizB’s book explains tips and techniques to encourage kids to learn daily oral care. With suggestions on types of food, flossing, brushing styles, dentist visits, and regular care, My Clean Teeth covers a wide range of oral care topics to assist in the prevention of mouth disease and tooth decay over their lifetime.

“Decay cannot be prevented by brushing alone,” says LizB. “It must be combined with dietary discipline,” she continues. “By limiting sugary foods and drinks to meal times only, the acid attack on teeth caused by reaction of sugar and bacteria in the mouth may be reduced.”

Tips on daily care and disease prevention detailed toward the end of the book are geared to educators and parents so they can facilitate the oral hygiene process with children. The kids will be able to understand the simplistic, easy-to-read story and specific pictures to visually and verbally learn ways to better care for their gums and teeth.
