Purpose Music Group announced today the signing of 11-year old singer and actress Troi Zee and its upcoming release of her debut EP, Brooklyn Girl. Zee, who has been a professional actress since age 3, co-stars with Hill Harper, Wayne Brady and Ruby Dee in the soon-to-be released independent film 1982. She can currently be seen in a public service announcement airing on WPIX Channel 11 in New York regarding the importance of staying in school, which includes music from her EP. Brooklyn Girl features original songs by Purpose artist and producer Angela Johnson and a club remix by DJ Spinna, also of Purpose. The title track will be released as a single in July.
