By hosting our Val Tech interns and giving them a taste of what the 'real world' is like, these businesses help tailor students for their future careers

Rapid and Valencia High School have partnered up to provide internship opportunities to students seeking hands-on experience in the tech industry. Rapid and Valencia High plan on becoming long-term partners for an internship and mobility-training program that will help young minds learn about and adapt to the mobile future.
As higher levels of technical expertise are increasingly needed in daily life as well as business, Valencia High School's prestigious Val Tech program provides students with the oppotunity to excel in STEM (science, technology, engineering, math) job fields to better prepare them for the high-tech future.“Valencia High School's Val Tech program is always excited about partnering with local businesses that want to help prepare the next generation of leaders in business, science, technology, engineering, and math,” says Mike Guest, the Val Tech program's coordinator. “The capstone of the Val Tech program is the 150-hour internship, where students have the opportunity to apply in real-life business situations what they've learned in the classroom.” The tech-minded enterprise mobility company Rapid provides a uniquely well-suited environment for Val Tech students. “By hosting our Val Tech interns and giving them a taste of what the 'real world' is like, these businesses [like Rapid] help tailor students for their future careers.”
Rapid has always been dedicated to helping youth get the valuable experience they need to adapt to the increasingly tech-driven job market. Valencia High School's Val Tech program works in harmony with Rapid's goal of helping students embrace the high tech world. “It's important that we are able to contribute to our local communities and give something back to the youth to enable them to make better decisions about their future and the careers that they want to pursue,” explains Anton Ansalmar, founder of Rapid Consulting. “Rapid is committed to investing in the Val Tech program and helping teach mobility to the younger generations who are growing up in a mobile world.”
Given the success of the program, Rapid plans on being a yearly partner with Valencia High School to participate in the Val Tech program. Ansalmar states: “we want to participate on a yearly basis to help support this program and give kids the chance to learn about programming, design and development of applications.” Rapid will be training its first Val Tech intern in application development and mobile solutions this summer.
