Extend Nutrition, a St. Louis based nutritional snack brand, has pledged a donation through the end of May to help support injured and disabled military veterans.

Extend Nutrition will donate a percent of online (http://extendnutrition.com) and phone sales (1-800-887-2919) from May 27th-June 2nd to the Wounded Warrior Project.

All orders using discount code WWP will earn a 10% discount AND 10% of the sale will be donated to the Wounded Warrior Project.

“Extend Nutrition cares about people too, not just profit. So, every year around Memorial Day we donate a percentage of sales to an organization that supports American troops,” said Jonathan Lindberg, Extend Nutrition outreach manager. “All of our snack-foods are made in the USA and we feel it is our duty to give back.”

In honor of the sacrifice made by United States Military veterans, this year the company has decided to donate to the Wounded Warrior Project which supports the well-being of American troops upon their return to the United States from active duty.

The Wounded Warrior Project is a military advocacy organization whose mission it is to “honor and empower our nation's wounded warriors”. Many military veterans return home with injuries and disabilities that can make the adjustment back to civilian life very difficult. By fostering a community around Wounded Warriors and by providing resources for physical and mental rehabilitation, the Wounded Warrior Project seeks to ensure that no veteran’s sacrifice is overlooked.

Extend Nutrition has donated thousands of dollars to military benefit organizations each year since 2007 including the Armed Forces Foundation (2007-2008), Operation Helmet (2009-2011) and Wounded Warrior Project (2012-2013).

In addition to annual Memorial Day Sale donations, Extend Nutrition participates frequently in charitable activities locally and nationwide. The company is a supporter of the American Diabetes Association “Step Out to Stop Diabetes” charity walk held at Creve Coeur Lake in October and participates in diabetes advocacy conferences around the country held by various charitable organizations.
